In the current circumstances a travel bag may be the last thing on your mind

But while you might not be traveling for a while, now is a good time to plan your travel bucket list and have a carry setup to help you embrace it in the future. And with your desire likely increasing daily to travel further and more extensively than ever before, having one system that can tackle a slew of travel carry needs is certainly a good thing.

The Gravel Bag System is just such a setup, featuring three bags in one to adapt quickly and easily to carry life on the go.
Plain sailing from plane aisles to beyond
The Gravel Bag System features a 42L Carry-On Backpack, 2L Sling Bag and 11L Day Bag. All carefully designed to work well together or as standalone bags. The system aims to solve three common problems experienced by travelers, namely aisle hold-ups while storing your carry-on bag, carrying too much stuff while out and about at your destination, and enduring uncomfortable loads.

The first problem is solved with a clever detachable hip belt that doubles as the Sling Bag. The hip belt can be quickly detached from the 42L Carry-On Backpack while walking down the plane aisle to avoid holding people up, allowing you to store the pack quickly and take your seat with the hip belt. Then you can secure the hip belt to the tray in front of you to access essential in-flight items easily and reduce the risk of forgetting or losing items under the seat.

Carry less, explore more
The less you have to carry, the easier it is to explore for longer and further. So Gravel designed the 11L Day Bag to carry your day-to-day essentials at your destination. The Day Bag can be stored inside the front exterior pocket of the Carry-On Backpack, ready for transferring essentials to the day bag and storing the rest of your gear in the larger pack at your accommodation.

Want something even smaller? Convert the hip belt into the Sling Bag with a straightforward clip and zip process and voilà! An even more compact carry option that can be worn cross-body across the chest or back.
Comfort you can count on
Traveling is tiring. Hauling heavy loads with an uncomfortable pack makes it even more draining. So Gravel took inspiration from backpacking backpacks when designing the Carry-On Backpack.

The pack features a removable plastic back plate with a metal rod to redistribute load weight from your shoulders to your hips. Back panel padding and mesh help increase comfort and weight distribution, with the hovering mesh reducing back sweat and doubling as a useful luggage pass-through.

Additionally, the pack has vertically adjustable shoulder straps to suit different users, with load lifter straps boosting carry comfort even more.
Efficiency is in the details
Each part of the system has been thoughtfully designed to address numerous travel needs, so you can focus less on your carry gear and more on enjoying the journey.

The 42L Carry-On Backpack offers an assortment of handy travel features including a Velcro divider, a dedicated laptop sleeve that fits the new 16″ MacBook Pro, as well as a water bottle pocket that stores flat or opens half-zipped or fully unzipped to accommodate a variety of bottles, tripods or umbrellas (the pocket fits up to a 40 oz. Hydro Flask).

You’ll also find multiple quick-access exterior pockets for on-the-go essentials. So you can keep those frustration levels down and avoid rummaging for small essentials.

The Sling Bag is ideal for stashing quick-access items without the need to dig into your pack. It has four pockets, keeping items tidy and accessible whether you’re wearing it around your hips, storing it in front of you on the plane, or slinging it across your body.

The 11L Day Bag offers five different carry options to suit changing needs and environments. Carry it as a backpack, as a tote (by hand or over the shoulder), or as a briefcase.

Alternatively the Day Bag can be secured on the front or back of the Carry-On Backpack with G-hooks. The Day Bag offers plenty of pockets including a lay-flat 16″ laptop pocket.
Optional accessories for a helping hand
The Gravel Bag System is a functional, adaptable system that handles a range of carry needs. But you can hone it to your particular preferences with optional accessories too. These include cinch straps with G-hooks that can be used on both the interior and exterior of the Carry-On Backpack. The interior of the pack has multiple attachment points that allow you to adjust the cinch straps for your preferred strap placement, allowing you to compress and secure a variety of loads. The exterior of the pack also has attachment loops for the cinch straps to carry a jacket or neck pillow externally.

Gravel has also created an optional laundry bag that can be stored inside the Carry-On Backpack. The laundry bag has an interior pocket for wet or dirty items or shoes, along with a G-hook to hang it up.
Built for a lifetime of journeys
Travel bags don’t have an easy time of things. They get drenched, knocked, scraped, wedged into tight spaces, hauled around with demanding loads, and still need to keep going strong so you can keep going on. So Gravel picked high-quality materials for their system that will endure when the going gets tough. The main fabric is a PU-coated 300D polyester for a weatherproof and highly abrasion-resistant build, while the trusty water-resistant YKK zippers add even more protection from the elements. Plus Gravel have backed the system with a lifetime warranty for added peace of mind.

If you’re looking for a solid all-rounder system that adapts to smaller and larger loads alike, carries comfortably, and keeps your gear easily accessible throughout your travels, the Gravel Bag System may be just what you’re after.
